How did the Afghan war bring about the Soviet Unions collapse, i've always heard the Soviets kept fighting a war they couldn't win till they were financially drained and destroyed economically. Is that a true assessment? How is America doing differently in the Afghan war? Is America benefiting financially, or prospering economically regardless of the war?
